Wilson K Factor KSix-One

www.tenniswarehouse.com

Ranking in at number three on my list is the racket made famous by the world tennis champion over the last few years. He is approaching the top spot for the most grand slam wins in history. Some say that Nadal has kind of stolen his thunder and he no longer has the shot at claiming his top spot in history. Frankly I do not agree with these people I think that he has a chance to win any grand slam. I do not think that he will ever win the French Open because Rafeal Nadal is just too good on clay courts, but to me at least Federer can win any of the other tournaments in this next year. So anyways the racket that he has made famous, which is fairly new, it might have came out two or three years back, is the Wilson K Factor KSix one.
The one that Federer actually uses is the Wilson K Factor KSix-One Tour 90, which is a little bit different than the rest. The main difference with this racket would definitely be the head size. This particular one is actually only at 90 cm, which is way smaller than any racket I ever play with. My favorite head size is 100 cm, but for more advance players I would think they would be able to use a 95 cm head size. I was actually talking to a tennis pro down in Oklahoma and by pro I mean coach, not professional, and he told me that he has no clue how Federer does it. He said that this racket was only made for Roger and no one else could use this racket even if he tried. Now obviously other players are able to use this racket, but he meant that you would have to be pretty dang could do use something this small. The great thing about such a small head would have to be the control that you would get. The power would be much tougher to generate and so you might have to a person that already has more power coming to use this racket. The regular Wilson K Factor with the 95 cm head size is also very good. It has a little bit less control; it is still very good, and a little bit more power. I know one person that is using this racket right now and he is just in love with it. He actually started out using my number one pick, the Babolat Pure Drive, and has since moved onto a Wilson.
This racket also would be for just a little bit more advanced players, but overall it is a great racket to have. It is a very sturdy racket and you will have much better placing of the ball. At least this is how it was when I played with it; I cannot guarantee the same for everyone. If anyone has any racket that they would me to demo and or review just email it to me at bloggin1126@gmail.com

Babolat AeroPro Drive

The Babolat AeroPro Drive is ranking in number two on my list of current top tennis rackets. This racket is actually used by the number one tennis player in the world, Rafeal Nadal. This past year he won the French Open and the Wimbledon championship tournaments. In my book those are the two most prestigious tournaments that the Pro players play in. The other two major tournaments are the Australian Open and the U.S Open. Rafeal Nadal is personally my favorite tennis player, I think that he is the most physical player on the tour, and if you watch enough tennis you will know what I am talking about.
But okay I really like this tennis racket, I personally do not use this racket for myself, but I do have a couple of friends that currently use this racket in their tournaments. I have played with it a few times and it might all just be in my head, but I feel like I hit the ball with great topspin with this racket. Topspin is when you racket comes over the top of the ball and it makes the ball go up a little bit higher in the air, but the ball will drop to the ground much faster. Then after the ball hits the ground, if you have the ball with enough pace, the ball will somewhat kick off of the court and bounce a little higher in the air than normal. The only problem with this great topspin that I get with this racket is that you have to hit the ball much harder and the ball will not go hardly any farther. You really need to aim out farther than you would normally. If you are a person that does not have very much racket speed I do not think that I would suggest this racket to you. I would say that this racket is for people with maybe a little less control and a ton of racket speed. Two of my friends that use this are that way, but I also have a friend that is very week and he loves it so I am not sure.
The thing that is so great about this racket and it mostly comes from the topspin is the control that comes with it. Most people can hit the ball almost as hard as they can and if they are not aiming to far they will get the ball to bounce in. Really the harder you hit the ball the higher the ball goes, but it will also have that more much spin pulling it back down. I would recommend this racket to most players.

Babolat Pure Drive

www.tenniswarehouse.com

For my first post on my new blog I am going to talk about my absolute favorite tennis racket. This is the racket that I use personally and I am ranking it the number one racket of my web page. This racket is used by many different pro players throughout the world including past legend, Carlos Moya, and a former number one ranked tennis player, Andy Roddick. One thing you do have to know about this though is that even though these rackets that the professional players are using look the same, most of the time they actually are not the same. This is a common misconception about most tennis rackets. People believe that when they see Carlos Moya running around the court using this racket that it has to be the best racket on the market. Although I still believe this to be true, in reality these two rackets are not the same. Most pro players, not all, have their rackets custom made with just the same look and feel as a certain brand, sometimes just to get sponsorship money for it. Their rackets are actually sometimes much heavier or in some cases much lighter, it kind of depends on the player using it.
But okay back to what this article is actually about: why I like the babolat pure drive so much. First of the colors are great for any one out there that considers the racket that they like by the color or look of the racket. I personally think that this is the coolest looking racket that is made. This is one of the reasons I initially purchased the racket. I do like the head size of the racket, which is at 100 cm. For most beginners I would recommend getting a 110 headsize because this will carry more power, but less control. For more advanced players you might want to even go down to 95 cm. I have played with a few rackets that are 95 cm, and I do like them, but it is just not what I am used to. My advice is to use whatever racket you are comfortable with. I do like the weight of this racket also; the standard pure drive is at 11.2 oz, which to me is the perfect weight. I am not a very big guy, which is ironic because most tennis players are huge, but don’t get me wrong us little guys can be great players also. If you are a stronger guy you might want to go a little bit heavier, but I would not go much lower than that. The lowest I would probably go is about 10.8 oz, but no more than that. It also has this thing called woofer technology, but honestly I cannot even tell what this is and I would not base your decision on this fact alone. This racket has a nice mix of power and control. I would say that this one should be used for the stage between moderate and advanced players.

Tennis Story

The sound of grunts and groans as the players ran back and forth, the smell of the brand new tennis balls as the umpire popped them open, the feel of the ice cold bench against my back, pumped adrenaline through my body as I watched the tennis match in suspense. At six year old, my first Fighting Illini tennis match was in progress, and I could not keep my eyes off the tennis court. From that day forward, I knew what I wanted to do with the rest of my life: play tennis every single day for the rest of my life. This did not quite happen, but i sure did try. As I moved away from Champaign to the small town of Mattoon, I was told my dreams were too big for such a small guy. This only made me work harder and by my sophomore year of high school, I was the captain of my tennis team.
Since that very first match, I have played in many, but one ranks far above the rest. During my freshman year, I was asked to move up from my number three doubles spot, to number two doubles. As scared as I was, I knew I had to step up and play the game. I started off shaky, but by the end of the match, I could not miss a shot. I won my very first varsity match and received the game ball. From then on, there was no looking back.
Some may say that you never really know what you want to do with your life until it’s too late, but they must not have ever been to a Fighting Illini tennis match.
